Marketing and Customer Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Marketing and Customer Data Analyst to help drive revenue growth and inform key business decisions based on data modeling, interpretation, customer segmentation, competitive and trend analysis. You will help test hypotheses and report on insights to various company stakeholders. You will work with senior leadership to discover new opportunities across marketing, product, retail, wholesale, and digital.

Responsibilities 
Customer Insights & Marketing Strategy
  • Identify customer trends and key segments and recommend data-driven responses to guide strategy and decision making for media targeting, product array, demand planning, and customer acquisition.
  • Support marketing team with reporting, analytical insights and make strategic recommendations related to media, creative, and site performance based on CAC, LTV to CAC ratio, ROI, and more. 
  • Interpret and present actionable data insights that will drive revenue growth, customer retention, marketing effectiveness, increase LTV, and profitability. 
  • Develop and maintain customer value management framework that helps define marketing strategy, spend allocation, market opportunity, and profitability. 
  • Identify opportunities related to multi-touch attribution models
  • Model and size new business, market, product, and channel opportunities and develop KPIs to track performance of new initiatives
  • Develop quantitative analysis, tools, ad hoc reports, and models to support marketing decision making. Analysis areas might include (but not limited to) acquisition, retention, sentiment, lifetime value, promotions/discounts, and gross margin. 
  • Conduct tests (lift studies), market research (quant & qual), gather competitive intel, and analyze industry trends to inform marketing strategy and ultimately improve ROI.  
  • Develop, manage and synthesize focus group strategy, producing insights related to products, content and customer experience.

Analytics Tools & Visualization
  • Own the maintenance and the evolution of the data warehouse (Redshift) and dashboards (Looker). 
  • Continue to build and fine-tune HEAP through detailed event naming, site tagging, and property definitions. 
  • Create and interpret SQL statements, functions and procedures to support application development, reporting/analysis, and data extraction
  • Experience with Google Optimize and other AB testing software highly preferred. 


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Customer or Marketing Analytics or related field.
  • Very strong EXCEL competency, and good understanding of SQL language (LookML), R/Python, Powerpoint as well as knowledge of data visualization tools such as Looker, Periscope, or Tableau highly preferred. 
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of customer data and hands-on expertise in data modeling, report and dashboard design
  • Demonstrated experience using or familiarity with statistical, econometric, machine learning or data mining techniques in a professional or academic setting 
  • Experience building highly customized reports and developing creative solutions to apply business logic when conventional methods are not available
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related quantitative field
  • Proven experience operationalizing analytics and insights into business processes
  • Experience with ecommerce or retail
