Operations Assistant

AnaVation is seeking an Operations Administrator to support our organization in Chantilly VA. This is an excellent opportunity for an customer service or administrative professional ready to make that next step in their career.

The enthusiastic first face of the company, the Office Administrator will support office staff by providing office administration, office management, communication/marketing support, and event/meeting planning.
 
Responsibilities will include:

• Assists Director of Talent with quarterly communication meetings, technical training sessions, management retreats and employee cultural events; including company celebrations, corporate calendar maintenance, meeting and event invitations, menu planning and food ordering, reserving space, set-up/break-down, materials, and any other meeting-related needs
• Assist  in preparation of the company newsletter, and employee referral communications 
• Assist with social media presence
• May assist Business Development in preparing materials and data calls in support of proposals
• Will be responsible for the facilities/maintenance including maintenance requests, security access card access assignment/issues, office gym membership requests and copier/printer equipment 
• Orders and maintains office supplies including food and drinks for corporate office, maintains sundries in kitchen
• Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory of company swag
• Will be the enthusiastic first face of the company and greet all employees and guests arriving at facility
• Handles special projects and other duties as assigned

Required:
  • 1-3 years customer service and/or administrative experience
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
  • Experience with event/meeting planning and social media preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and external contacts.
  • Self-starter, demonstrated initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work with technical information systems
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to be confidential, discreet, work independently as need, prioritize and manage assignments to ensure critical issues are addressed.
  • Superb written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to understand organizational policies and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate decision making.
  • Proven discretion when handling confidential information
  • Manages multiple priorities and fast-pace environment (time management skills)
  • Ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities. (organizational skills)
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Preference for Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to obtain and US Government Security clearance
