Role Overview:
Ampaire is seeking an adaptable, self-motivated Project Manager, also with adjacent mechanical or electrical or software engineering skills. Candidate has technical skills to create and maintain plans and status to plans for broad communication of objectives, resources, issues, and blockers. Skills should include creation and execution of methods for disciplined, scrum based hardware (with embedded software) development. Skills include scrappiness and pragmatism to create effective methods with simple tools as necessary. The candidate will possess personal skills, presence, assertiveness to conduct process based real-time efficient scrum activity, identifying resource and decision needs on a timely basis. The candidate will possess managerial courage and savvy to escalate disconnects in expectations with resources and can create useful program alternatives for consideration as needed.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Creates an effective scrum-based project management system consistent with Ampaire ethos of lean iterative cycles of fast-paced learning.
- Defines objectives, project plans in a clear and visible way.
- Communicates status and facilitates resolutions with data and issue escalation and visibility of timely decisions
- Responsible for reducing team and individual ambiguity and doubt about goals, status, and resources.
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate engineering degree or related field and 5-10 years of experience in project management methods and tools.
- Experience successfully creating closed-loop project management method using widely available tools.
- Experience working with project teams and have good peer teaming skills.
- IT skills a plus
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) skills
