As Marketing Assistant, you’ll work alongside our Marketing Manager and play a crucial role in
strengthening AML’s presence online and off to generate leads and improve brand awareness.

We manufacture ocean sensing solutions – sensors, instrumentation, and deployment systems – for
commercial and government customers on all seven continents. As a hi-tech business, our technical
team includes experts and engineers with experience in the acoustic, mechanical, electrical, software,
and embedded software domains. We operate from locations at either end of Canada: Halifax
(Dartmouth), Nova Scotia on the Atlantic Coast and Victoria (Sidney), British Columbia on the Pacific

Mission of the Role
To be the Best Supporting Actor/Actress in AML’s lead generation story

  1. Lead Registration: Enters all marketing leads and web inquiries into our CRM
  2. Email Marketing: Assists with AML’s email marketing platform by maintaining contact groups and assisting with the design and execution of campaigns
  3. Website: Keeps open communication with our webmaster to ensure full website functionality and assists with formatting and posting content
  4. SEO: Keeps AML at the top of search engine results for industry keywords
  5. Event Coordination: Assists Sales Managers with planning, logistics, and post-event tasks for participation in regional events
  6. Marketing Documentation: Keeps AML’s product data sheets and online listings on external sites up to date

Required Skills
  1. Superb attention to detail
  2. Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
  3. Resourceful and skilled in problem-solving

Preferred Skills
  1. Data entry and database experience
  2. Comfortable using office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  3. Familiar with Google Analytics, SEO best practices, and Google Tag Manager
  4. Capable with graphic design tools such as PhotoShop and inDesign
  5. Familiar with web development tools such as WordPress
  6. Experience with email marketing platforms
