Shop/Fleet Foreman

The Shop/Fleet Foreman will report primarily to the Operations Manager and secondarily to the Safety Manager, and is responsible for planning, scheduling, performing, directing, and evaluating the repair and maintenance of all equipment. The Shop Foreman will also be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of two separate facilities.  We desire a hands-on individual with meticulous attention to detail to manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the Maintenance and Facilities Departments.  We offer opportunities for advancement along with a competitive pay and benefits package, as well as a collaborative, supportive work environment.  
v  Oversee a fleet of late model Mack trucks, ensuring that each one is safe and equipped to perform their normal functions.  
v  Manage and develop a skilled team. 
v  Maintain facility to ensure all compliance regulations are satisfied. 
v  Supervise and evaluate performance of mechanics and maintenance staff. 
v  Generate repair orders and monitor through completion. 
v  With the use of internal software, track trends and tendencies within the fleet and make recommendations that will enable management to implement processes that will improve performance.
v  Ensure compliance with quality/cost/scheduling requirements. 
v  Develop and implement mechanic training programs.  
v  Identify, diagnose and perform technical heavy equipment repairs. 
v  Train and mentor junior repair technicians, leading by example.
v  Must be willing to put Safety first in all job responsibilities.
v  Mechanical knowledge of truck and trailer repairs, as well as knowledge of the role of each class of equipment. Experience with Roll-Off trucks and Walking Floor trailers preferred.
v  3-5 years of work-related experience in a similar setting. 
v  Excellent communication skills. 
v  Computer literate and prepared to continually learn and use new programs. 
v  Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. 
v  Excellent planning and organizational skills. 
v  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  
v  Able to lift 75 pounds. 
v  Work in the conditions typically encountered in a maintenance shop which include, but is not limited to, noise exposure, working at heights up to 13 feet, working outside in various types of weather conditions, moderate walking and climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching. 
v  Must be able to follow instructions. 
v  Class A or B CDL preferred.
