Federal Account Manager

Alertus Technologies, a pioneer and ascending market leader in emergency mass notification solutions, is experiencing unprecedented growth in all markets. Selected applicants will be based out of the Beltsville, MD area and will sell Alertus' technology across the Federal/DoD vertical.  Account Managers work on the front lines of the company, increasing product awareness and provide solutions to all organizations. Charged with generating and converting qualified leads into won business, this is a high-visibility role within Alertus and is critical to the organization's success. Qualified applicants must possess a customer-centric focus on acquiring and maintaining existing customers with a history of quota attainment.

The Job:
  • Develop a strong understanding of key influencers and decision-makers, target market, and products and solutions
  • Establish a business plan for a multi-state geographical territory to focus goals on market expansion and engagement
  • Prospect and identify new opportunities to continuously grow your pipeline through direct and channel sales 
  • Responsible for driving end-user sales and renewals with a focus on net new business development
  • Conduct web and in-person presentations to key C-level decision-makers
  • Manage and record all prospect and client interactions within our CRM system
  • Understand, communicate, and enhance Alertus’ value proposition and solutions

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and sell to multiple buyers within an organization
  • Background or training in a consultative/solution selling environment
  • Prospecting/New Business generation focus
  • Channel sales/Partner management experience a plus
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in IT or technology-based solutions
  • Experience in selling, presenting, and demonstrating software and technology products or services
  • A willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Required Education/Experience:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ years of Sales/Business Development Experience
  • Experience selling, presenting, and demonstrating sophisticated products and solutions at the enterprise level
