We are actively recruiting a Director of ACO Performance & Operations position based at Aledade’s headquarters in Bethesda, MD. The Director of ACO Performance & Operations will play a critical role in managing and monitoring performance and operations across multiple markets in Aledade’s provider network. The Director of ACO Performance & Operations will work closely with ACO Executive Directors and field teams across Aledade’s markets as they use Aledade’s products, programs, and technologies to deliver quality health outcomes and reduce cost. This role requires demonstrated excellence in creating “buy-in” with internal stakeholders to promote and effect change in the way healthcare is delivered. We are looking for individuals who genuinely believe that Aledade’s model of physician-led ACO's can improve quality and lower cost.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive performance and operational guidance and support to ACO field teams (Executive Directors, Coordinators and Regional Medical Directors)
- Establish and cultivate strong, in-depth relationships with assigned ACO field teams and establish regular status meetings to set strategic priorities, monitor performance to drive shared savings, and address operational issues
- Ensure Aledade’s field teams are regularly and effectively using Aledade’s proprietary technology platform, the Aledade App, management tools, and key performance reports
- Support assigned ACO markets in effectively using key Aledade tools and systems, including management tools (ex strategic planning tools), the Aledade App and all core products and services, the Aledade calendar curriculum, centralized calendar tracking, etc. and aggregate and share successes, barriers, needed enhancements to improve operational excellence
- Connect markets with and ensure successful use of relevant products, trainings, and data reports to drive performance
- Provide comprehensive and actionable feedback to HQ team(s) supporting the growth and development of internal resources and tools
- Track new practices and ACOs in assigned markets to ensure the establishment of an appropriate savings plan
- Review quarterly CMS/payor reports with field teams and ensure ACO strategic and tactical plans are updated, as needed
- Support assigned ACO markets to transition ACOs to different contract arrangements, including two-sided risk
- Develop and execute on staffing plans in assigned markets: hiring and on-boarding of ACO Executive Directors, establishment of market staffing succession plans, and ensuring appropriate staffing based on market growth and savings strategy
- Develop and monitor staff training plans for ACO field teams to ensure team members have the training and skill building opportunities they need to be successful
- Provide ACO Executive Directors with operational management guidance in areas such as human resources, legal, contracting, finance and budgeting.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as requested by Aledade’s Provider Network leadership team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in health services research, health policy, mathematics/statistics, information technology, or other relevant fields is preferred
- Candidates should have a minimum 5 years of related experience working in the healthcare industry (i.e., health plan, hospital, pharmaceutical manufacturer, government, pharmacy chain, management consulting) with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and performance and interfacing with internal or external stakeholders
- Relevant competencies include developing and maintaining customer relationships, analytical problem solving, project management, effective written and verbal communication, and strategic insight
- Must be results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead a team to consistently meet deadlines and expectations
- Periodic travel to assigned Aledade markets and team retreats is required
