Accounting Intern

We​ ​are​ ​currently​ ​recruiting​ current ​college​ students ​to​ ​work​ ​on our Accounting team.​  ​We are looking for a driven Accounting Intern with a basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. This intern will work 10-15 hours per week. 
 
The Accounting Intern can expect to participate in:
  • The preparation of journal entries, financial reports, and account reconciliations
  • Analyzing actual financial data
  • Learning more about bookkeeping software
  • Assisting with other accounting activities and ad hoc projects
 
To be a strong candidate for an Accounting Internship, you should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.

 In​ ​addition​ ​to​ ​taking​ ​ownership​ ​over​ ​substantial​ accounting ​projects,​ ​the Accounting​ Intern ​will​ ​also:
  • Gain​ ​exposure​ ​to​ ​senior​ ​executives​ ​and​ ​industry​ ​leaders
  • Develop​ ​expertise​ ​in​ ​areas​ ​​business​ ​operations and Medicare and​ ​commercial​ ​payer​ ​contracts​ ​and​ process​ ​workflows
 
The​ ​ideal​ ​candidate​ ​will​ ​have​ ​a​ ​strong​ ​record​ ​of​ ​academic​ ​success​ ​and:
  • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, as well as a desire to learn accounting software
  • A​ ​self-starter​ ​who​ ​is​ ​able​ ​to​ ​take​ ​initiative​ ​and​ ​ownership​ ​of​ ​projects
  • A​ ​collaborative​ ​team​ ​player
  • Detail​ ​oriented​ ​and​ ​self-motivated​ ​to​ ​produce​ ​work ​that​ ​meets​ ​high​ ​standards
