Aira is seeking a Smart Glass Technician to join the amazing existing team. This position will fulfill your desire to give back and do something good. You’ll get to hear incredible stories of the lives we are impacting every day.

Description
As a Smart Glass Technician, you will be handling, configuring and shipping Aira’s next-gen Smart Glasses to our customers ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwBaEkkmt6g ). You will take the finished hardware from our manufacturer, install software onto the Smart Glasses; make the requested customizations and ship the final product to our consumers. Quality is the name of the game as you will be the last person in contact with our Smart Glasses before our customers receive them.

This is an entry-level position for individuals who want to learn about business operations. We are looking for someone interested in assistive technology, and who is comfortable working in a fast-paced shipping department. Due to the nature of our growth, there will be opportunities to take on individual projects and own the work that you do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personalize smart glasses to the preferences of our customers by utilizing glass adjustment tools
  • Install programs on smart glasses to prep each device for the end user (e.g., basic ADB commands, no programming experience needed)
  • Pair Horizon controllers with Horizon glasses and log user data in our digital systems (e.g., Quickbase, MaaS360, Internal platform, Cin7)
  • Receive returned equipment from customers and quality test for re-usability
  • Maintain a clean working environment by occasionally moving inventory from the lab and
    storage
  • Utilize FedEx ship manager and stamps.com to print shipping labels
    Participate in monthly inventory counts
  • Deliver shipments to USPS & FedEx

Required Skills / Qualifications
  • High School diploma required, work experience or further education preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably consumer facing
  • Have a reliable vehicle to commute
  • Comfortable with both Mac and Windows operating systems
  • Able to follow a detailed list of instructions
  • Ability to communicate progress with supervisor and related parties
