Supply Chain Specialist

The Supply Chain Specialist is an integral member of the team responsible for supporting our product deployments. This role is responsible for directing equipment planning through delivery and managing contractual obligations. The ideal candidate should be a savvy business project management professional with experience in vendor interface, supply forecasting, logistics, inventory and asset management; that is highly organized and detailed oriented. Should have the ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production schedule.
  • Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems
  • Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers
  • Monitor the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and SLA.
  • Support all Procurement activities related to customer projects and developing company wide procedures
  • Provide  support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, material handling and other duties as assigned
  • Obtain freight quotes and schedule loads with carriers, always seeking the best prices
  • Research and establish new, competitive freight carriers
  • Execute on any day-to-day operations that will help us hit our goals and support ad hoc business decisions

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/industry engineering or business-related field or equivalent and 1-3 years’ experience
  • Proficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel
  • Knowledge of purchasing/logistics/manufacturing process is a plus but not must have
