    The Position:
    This position is responsible for running all of Affinity's plumbing jobs under the direction of our Vice President and Project Managers.  It requires the ability to complete administrative tasks, estimating, and performing work that has been contracted by Affinity.

    We’re looking for a specific personality type for this position, someone who is steady paced and customer oriented, with attention to detail and high performance standards.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    Scope of work includes but is not necessarily limited to:
    • Works under the direction of Affinity's Vice President and Project Managers to ensure that jobs are completed on time, to specifications, and under budget.
    • Creates estimates
    • Orders Inventory
    • Manages plumbing jobs from start to finish
    • Accurately tracks and submits their hours and completed tasks in a timely manner
    • Exercises proper care and maintenance of tools used to complete the assigned tasks
    • Follows all operational procedures specific to job
    • Attends all mandatory meetings
    • Ensures client, co-worker, and company confidentiality
    • Wears and properly uses appropriate PPE in accordance with Affinity safety policies

    Experience & Qualifications:
    • 5+ years experience working as a licensed plumber
    • 2+ years experience managing plumbing jobs
    • Extensive experience/knowledge in plumbing products, plumbing applications, and plumbing best practices
    • Basic understanding of: kitchen and bath remodeling and renovation
    • Knowledge of how to use spreadsheets and email
    • Proven ability to interact well with co-workers, supervisors, and customers

    You Must Have:
    • Ability to use tools necessary for carpentry work such as power tools, measuring tape, hammer, drills, air guns, etc.
    • A smart phone and ability to use it well and use apps well
    • Valid driver license and clean driving record
    • Reliable transportation is needed in order to transport necessary tools and material to and from job sites.
    • You must own you own tools
    • Ability to wear and properly use PPE required for the position
    • Ability to pass a background screening and drug screening (we do not test for THC) 
    • Must be currently eligible to work in the United States
    • Must currently reside in the Portland Metro area or intend to relocate in the near future

    Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
    Exposure
    • The job is performed under some temperature extremes 
    • Frequent exposure to hazardous equipment and contaminants (i.e. sawdust, wood glue, wood stains)
    • Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable
    Physical Strength/Stamina
    • Requires the ability to:
    • Exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects
    • Be physically active for extended periods of time
    • Lift, carry, push, pull and maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (unassisted) on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds (assisted) on an occasional basis.
    • Carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (unassisted) up and down multiple flights of stairs on a frequent basis.
    • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out
    • Work from a crouching or kneeling position, often within tight spaces
    • Climb and/or work from ladders or scaffolds
    • Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing. 
    Manual Dexterity/Agility
    • Requires the ability to:
    • Make full usage of arms, hands, legs and feet to perform all job duties
    • Exercise manual dexterity of hands and fingers to perform all job duties
    • Make precisely coordinated movements to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects of various sizes and make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
    • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
    Vision/Hearing
    • Requires the ability to:
    • Accurately determine the distance between objects and see details of objects that are less than a few feet away as well as more than a few feet away.
    • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
    • Distinguish between sounds; focus on one source of sound and ignore others
