Account Manager, Publishing

You will work amongst a small, yet highly effective team. The team is responsible for managing all existing publishing partnerships with mobile game developers and media/app companies, with many of the biggest partners. As an Account Manager - Publishing, you will demonstrate commercial relationship-building skills to grow publisher earnings and increase AdColony’s share of users. You will be primarily working with all game publishers, therefore experience in this area is an advantage. You will also have a solid understanding of the mobile in-app publishing and advertising eco-system; be comfortable with the metrics and shorthand of the industry, and have an eye for new opportunities and desire to close deals. 

You will an expert communicator with the ability to interact with clients and attend regional conferences and events. Additionally, you will work closely with our product and user acquisition teams to make improvements to the network and increase our competitive advantage in the market. 

You must enjoy mobile games and understand what makes them work from a commercial perspective, be comfortable around game developer metrics and be creative when making integration recommendations. 

Responsibilities:
  • Own and grow AdColonys existing game publisher partnerships by proactively initiating and closing publishing deals and offering creative solutions to any issues that arise   
  • Monitor and analyze metrics and proactively take steps to improve monetization efforts
  • Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly publisher updates and reviews using data-driven and actionable insights
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of publishers' business models and technical features of publishers' apps in order to pitch strategies for optimizing their performance
  • Manage day-to-day activities of our game-publisher partners, including reporting, support, and overall “publisher love”
  • Represent AdColony at conferences and industry events.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 year's experience in the mobile-game-industry ecosystem (developer, publisher, advertiser or similar)
  • Minimum one year of business development and/or account management experience
  • University degree in IT, Business, Economics, Communication or similar is preferred
  • Extensive experience in sales/business development for a mobile or online advertising platform
  • Skill in crafting pitches to current and potential clients, delivering time and resource estimates
  • Strong, leverage relationships within the media publishing and mobile game industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • True love and passion for mobile games
  • A good understanding of the mobile in-app advertising industry
  • Experience working with mobile game developers
  • Commercially-minded and thrives in a data-driven environment
