Provide direct computer/network support to include router, firewall, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory / Exchange, configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting to USMC deployed units as required.
Four to Nine (4‐9) years of experience providing deployed support.
Microsoft or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred. Certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01‐M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II.
Assist in the development and execution of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed units. Travel in support of an exercise or workup possible.
Additional focus would be to provide direct support to the D‐30 process.
Under general supervision, provide network technical advice and assistance during the planning phase of a deployment/exercise and coordinate swift solutions to networking problems during the execution phase.
Support identified operational requirements for the intended operational environment; identify required hardware (HW) and software (SW); submit personnel foreign country clearance requests and obtain necessary visas;
document the result of the deployment in a Government provided template with input and conduct a post‐deployment review with the Government;
coordinate return of any unused and reusable equipment to stock;
coordinate the transportation of all HW and SW required to support contingency operations and obtain all import permits;
submit a consolidated document of the result of the deployment in a Government provided template and conduct a post‐deployment review with the Government.
