We are looking for our next Director at our new Acacia - Santa Cruz office, serving the UCSC community, among other local schools starting Fall 2019!
Acacia's mission is to provide college students a safe, supportive space in which they receive quality, long term and consistent mental health care that is highly accessible, affordable, specialized, and culturally sensitive. We strive to provide holistic care including yoga, mindfulness/meditation, workshops, and social programming geared toward enhancing student well-being. We work closely with academic institutions to provide optimal mental health referrals and support hundreds of students each academic year. This position is for those who are passionate about serving students, enjoy leadership roles and love working in a team-oriented environment.
The Director provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction for services at Acacia. The Director oversees the delivery of mental health services including individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatry, and wellness services. In addition, the director provides management of business operations including budget and administration, employee recruitment, collaboration with university mental health professionals, management of security and technology, and implementation of policies and procedures. Finally, the Director will perform part time direct clinical services. The Director serves as the face of Acacia, demonstrates a commitment to diversity, ensures that Acacia serves the mental health needs of students, and strives to make Acacia a fun, caring, and enriching place to work.
- Doctorate or Master's degree in mental health related field
- California licensed therapist (or soon-to-be)
- Strong interpersonal & networking skills
- Strong leadership skills and commitment to diversity
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (but not deal breakers!)
- Credentialed with Anthem Blue Cross
- Experience working with college students or within college counseling centers
- General knowledge of EHR (Electronic Health Record) and Google G-Suite systems
