Research Associate

The Therapeutic Technology team is seeking a highly motivated research associate with experience in cell culture and cell-based screening assays. The successful candidate will join us at our research facility in Agoura Hills, CA and play an important role in drug-target based programs and/or technology development projects that will further our mission.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Design, implementation, documentation, analysis and presentation of critical experiments
  • Development of new protocols
  • Partner with others to design and perform cutting-edge research that integrates cell culture and immune-oncology techniques
  • Remain current on the state of the immunotherapy field, and participate in external scientific meetings as necessary
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to implement novel laboratory processes and solve challenging technical problems
  • Adhere to good laboratory conduct, documentation practices and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with others to select, profile and advance clinical candidates in a scientifically rigorous manner 

 Basic Qualifications
  • Master’s degree & 1 years of scientific experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree & 2-3 years of scientific experience
  • Experience with molecular cloning and mammalian cell culture required

 Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with cell-based assays
  • Degree in science including biology, immunology, biotechnology or a related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills an ability to thrive in a cross-functional collaborative environment
  • Must be highly detail oriented and be able to multitask across various projects
  • Highly motivated, innovative team player with demonstrated ability and desire to learn, willingness to be flexible and eagerness to deliver results with urgency
  • Capacity to identify, evaluate, implement and be proficient in novel laboratory techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in T cell biology
