Andreessen Horowitz is a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm with $10 billion under management. Focused on investing in software eating the world, the firm partners with entrepreneurs in their company building at all stages -- from seed to late-stage -- in the biology, consumer, crypto, and enterprise industries.
The HR Generalist will play a key role in all operational stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruiting through alumni, and will be a key contributor of the Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will participate in the review and recommendations for process improvements, automation of information and services, system applications, operational efficiency and human resources programs.

What you will do:
- Responsible for full employee onboarding experience and process from pre-hire to first week and beyond, including coordinating new hire orientation
- Responsible for recruiting process as partner to hiring managers through full recruiting cycle and responsible for diversity network development
- Assist or participate in the review and recommendations for process improvements, automation of information and services, system applications, operational efficiency and customer services
- Support immigration processes, partnering with external counsel to ensure timely delivery of documentation and appropriate support for and information to employees
- Responsible for maintaining personnel files including but not limited to status change documentation, immigration paperwork, and performing audits
- Point of contact to all employees for benefits and assist in managing the annual Open Enrollment
- Responsible for a16z’s intern program management
- Responsible for maintaining the intranet and assist in organizing and staffing company events
Who you are:
- You have 3 + years Human Resources Generalist or equivalent experience including program management in a successful tech company or professional services firm
- You have a strong work ethic and the highest level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity with a high degree of professionalism in all aspects of job responsibilities
- Analytical thinker who isn’t afraid to roll up sleeves and has a passion for problem solving with a data driven mindset
- Exceptional communication skills - including the ability to communicate in a high-touch personalized manner, and are a great team player
- Exceptional attention to detail and discipline to organize, prioritize, and execute objectives in a fast pace and competing priorities environment
