We advise portfolio teams on their go-to-market strategy across sales, marketing, and business development. Additionally, we help create commercial and strategic partnership opportunities for the portfolio with our network of Global 2000 executives. Ultimately, the team’s goal is to support each portfolio company in its pursuit of product-market-fit and scaled commercialization.
What you will do:
- Cover: To segment, target and develop a network of deep corporate relationships with C and SVP-level executives
- Connect: To introduce and connect portfolio companies with the Andreessen Horowitz network through corporate briefings, conferences and other events
- Lead and mentor a set of Business Development Partners in the enterprise vertical on the Market Development team
- Build detailed plans for strategic accounts including organization structure, functional model, etc.
- Capture, track and analyze all Market Development activities within Salesforce
- Collaborate with other functional groups within the firm
Who you are:
- 10+ years of sales and business development management experience in enterprise verticals
- Strong background in both direct and channels sales with experience in developing successful business relationships and channel ecosystems; multi-year track record of exceeding quota
- Experience in defining and optimizing sales processes and procedures for onboarding, pipeline management, forecasting, sales operations and account management
- You have a strong network of executive contacts in Fortune 500 enterprise accounts
- You have strong and demonstrated ability to negotiate and close major corporate deals, as well as identify and outline the required strategy
- You have extraordinary listening, communication and presentation skills with a track record selling to senior management
