POSITION
540 is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help the DoD modernize critical systems and business applications. You’ll be part of an agile, high performing team focused on security and reliability where you will secure/maintain our prod and non-prod infrastructure (mix of cloud and on-prem), and work with the development team to build, deploy, and monitor all applications.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of related technical experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or another related field
- In-depth knowledge of DevSecOps
- Experience administering Linux systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS)
- Experience administering Windows systems (Windows Server)
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, VPC, S3, EBS, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
- Experience operating Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Crowd)
- Experience with Git and the GitFlow development workflow
- Experience deploying applications using various tech stacks (Node.js, Java, .NET)
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with haproxy, Apache httpd, Apache Tomcat, and Microsoft IIS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and on a cross-functional team
- Be an AWS Certified Developer - Associate and/or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
- Must have or be able to quickly obtain a CompTIA Security+ CE certification
- Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance

- Experience working on an agile development project
- Experience with securing sensitive data (including security marking standards such as DoD Banner Lines)
- Experience with Slack, JIRA and the Atlassian tool suite
- Experience with testing, debugging, and performance analysis using dev tools
- Experience deploying applications in DoD or other accredited federal environments that require IA certification and accreditation to deploy.
- Experience with OpenVPN
- Experience with Docker, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with Icinga, Grafana, and Splunk
- Experience with Memcached, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
