Spotify Instructional Design Resource

Are you a people person that is passionate about training and helping others? We’re looking for someone with personality, and who would love to design impactful training materials. 

This role will be responsible for creating a variety of classroom and digital materials for both new hires and experienced advisors on the Social and Artist Services teams. They’ll also partner closely with Spotify to brainstorm training initiatives and strategic improvements. We want someone that can blend the learning experience with Spotify’s culture and keep training fun.

What they’ll do
  • Partner with the Spotify Social Customer Support and Artist Support teams along with 24-7 Intouch team to design, develop, update, maintain and evaluate training materials of all types, incorporating various methodologies and instructional techniques 
  • Assist with development of Learning Roadmaps for Social and Artist Services advisors
  • Apply instructional design approaches (ADDIE model), adult learning principles, training delivery methodologies and content development systems (Storyline, Rise) for a global audience
  • Design and develop New Hire & Ongoing training assessments & evaluations
  • Act as an internal consultant to the Spotify team by identifying potential training needs and recommending solutions to issues and gaps
  • Establish and execute training development project plans on‐time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the Spotify’s business objectives, culture, systems, processes, products, and services as they affect the contact center training curriculum
  • Maintain knowledge of current training trends (particularly for contact centers) and deliver innovative approaches for the development of new and effective ways to train for the Spotify CS program 
  • Utilize the 24‐7 Intouch learning management system (LMS) for developing, storing, organizing and tracking Spotify advisor training content and materials.

  • A passion for building collaborative working relationships with subject matter experts and key stakeholders, such as Product Owners, SMEs, software developers, Project Managers, Analysts
  • A flexible attitude, with the ability to shift priorities based on Spotify’s evolving business needs
  • The ability to develop and follow through on plans for both simple and complex projects
  • Ability to assess training effectiveness using assessments and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, including editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational, multi‐tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in e‐learning design software (such as Captivate or Articulate Storyline)
  • A High school diploma or equivalent (required) 
  • A BS/BA degree Instructional Design (or related discipline / equivalent experience)
  • Content design and call center experience (preferred)
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with the Spotify product

  • Experience working at an agile software company
  • Worked in a global company with stakeholders and/or audiences located in a variety of places
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in adult learning or learning design/development
